Goddess Statue

Large statues of the Goddess, Lumina, can be found in every town. They are generally about 10 to 15 feet tall, based on the affluence of the settlement. More often than not, you can find one in the town center, and smaller statues are always found in temples and shrines, as well.
It is commonly known that praying at a statue can sometimes grant a blessing. Such blessings include, but are not limited to, the staunching of wounds, the removal of diseases, the restoration of lost limbs, and, in rare cases, resurrection. Many superstitions surround such miracles, with many strongly believing that a particular prayer or song must be performed to gain the desired effect. Others leave offerings, make promises of future good deeds, and so on; such superstitions vary by region.
Those with a special connection to the divine, such as priests or the particularly devout, seem to have a better chance of invoking such miracles. However, the statues' magic has not always been as it was. These blessings have only existed for about 16 years or so, with no one understanding how this came about or why. In the past, people still prayed at the statues, but blessings were rare. At that time, the blessings could heal a minor wound or treat a minor illness, and the effects were not subject to such a spectrum as they are now.
