Dark Ones

The Dark Ones are those touched by the magic of the God of Darkness, Abyssos. Such creatures once made up the Cult of Abyssos and were rewarded for their service with this dark power. According to legend, this power was stripped from them following the war that left Azurra in ruins.
Their descendants are said to still live on the First World, shunned and forgotten, and able to survive through their dark constitution. There are those who believe that with their power gone they are no longer a threat, but others fear their remaining power is enough of a threat. To many, the Dark Ones are just a scary story they tell to children at night to keep them in line. Some others have claimed to be descended from these creatures, but such assertions are quite unfounded, as there is no record of any escaping the Blue Jewel.
