Zenith

Humanity takes it's first steps off Zenith and into the stars, although humanity is not as prepared as it thinks. For 300 years the Candor System remains effectively lawless, but now with the advent of planet-wide aeroforming, humanity seems to be settling into a comfortable mundanity. Commercial space travel is now cost effective and safe, Zenith hopes to rein in the galactic stragglers who refuse to accept their self proclaimed, rightful rule.

While the UPA (United Planetary Alliance) may try to assert dominance, or match Zenith's power, they hold no cards at the interplanetary table. Every planet has their own government, but any planet or alliance of planets going to war with Zenith would be a death sentence. Zenith seems to be invulnerable, with it's gargantuan navy, holding over 75% of the system's space-faring ships alone. Zenith is also the hub for all trade in the Candor System, from the fertile fields of Pelaxian, the precious, mineral rich mines of Primus, to the endless arms bought and sunk into the perpetual warring on Octus and Trelvus. Nothing is bought or sold without Zenith getting it's cut.

The power balance has remained unchanged, and Zenith has sat on top for 300 years. The common folk have nowhere left to explore, the lands are all but tamed. There is an unspeakable unrest. Can any force hold together the entirety of humanity? Should any government have that power?
