Pharomoor

Pharomoor is the second smallest country in Zelkanea, only slightly larger than Elrosh in terms of landmass. The majority of the population, which is dominated by elves, live on the north-western ridge of the country. The capital city is Jhoruun, residing near the entrance to the Bay of Ash.

Government

The government within Pharomoor is a monarchy with Roshendur Nafirel as its king. He has ruled as a harsh, but effective king for over 500 years. During his reign, poverty rates reached an all time low and many social programs were put in place to improve the lives of his citizens.
For municipal matters outside of Jhoruun, he appoints lords to rule over sections of land. These lords report directly to him and must pay a portion of all goods produced in their region back to the kingdom.

Industry & Trade

Fishing is the most prominent industry within Pharomoor with raising of livestock coming in close second. The soil is inhospitable for the majority of major crops, though corn and potatoes do grow in a stunted fashion, so instead, they harvest bromus, a hardy, weed-like tall grass that makes for excellent animal feed.
Primary exports are livestock and bromus. Primary imports include wheat, rice, vegetables, and fruits.

Geography

The northern reaches of Pharomoor are primarily hilly fields, the soil of which is coarse and infertile. The lower regions of the country are overtaken by a dense, hostile, and unforgiving forest known as Halda Nura.
