Uuvashi

Government

The city is ruled by the Stillspire family that owns and runs the church, in a style reminiscent of a monarchy. Elven influence in prevalent, with many high ranking elves having large areas of influence over the city. Unlike Floridge however, the Stillspire family is insistent that humans have equal or greater influence due to the history of the city. The head of each ruling family convene annually to discuss political affairs and religious practices.

Industry & Trade

Despite being a small community, the town's known for its religious influence.

Infrastructure

The city's three gates are composed of massive blocks of stone, each five feet thick and over thirty feet tall. The city itself is built on a large plain. The chruch sits on the tallest hill. The city has thousands of houses for ordinary citizens and nobles as well as hundreds of shops, restaurants and pottery workshops. Buildings in Uuvashi are generally built from stone, and have blue tiled roofs.

History

An ancient legend states that shortly before the intervention, a god named Uuva and a goddess named Shi, each from one of two warring factions, met on the plains and fell deeply in love. Although their relationship was forbidden and it was dangerous for them to continue meeting, the couple found a way to continue seeing each other in secrecy by continuing to meet on earth. The couple's romance ended in tragedy when the couple was caught and banished to earth, where they lived with the humans occupying the area and were eventually buried together. This deemed the city on holy ground during the Intervention, naming the city Uuvashi to honor the couple's love.
