Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Raylan is tall at 6'3 as well as very muscular.

Body Features

Raylan has black eyes and short black hair, coming to just above her shoulders. She is white but tanned.

Facial Features

She has roundish-almond eyes which are black. She has a mouth, which is good. Probably a nose as well.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

Raylan, held a deep-seated grudge against the dwarves because of an attack, which killed her parents and burned her village to the ground. She was forced to hide within the ashes of her village for days to ensure her survival and avoid detection. From that day on, she would despise the dwarves and she dedicated her life to stopping them in any way she could.   She joined the Arcane Order to try and aid the elves and humans against the dwarves. Ray trained with them for most of her life, learning combat and espionage, cementing her role as a rogue. Once she went on her first quest, however, she discovered the nefarious intent of both the elves and the dwarves. Wanting spirituality, peace of mind and to understand morality, Raylan set out to become a druid, joining a circle just outside the Padstow village where she meets and develops a friendship with Pandora.

Education

Raylan was taught by the Arcane Order for most of her life. From there, she was trained in combat and espionage, making her an incredible asset to the order, hence why her first quest had such high stakes. However, once she defected from the elf order and sought out a druidic circle, she was taught the way of the wild. She learned primal spells and its connection to the earth, as well as the sanctity of the natural order. In the druidic circle, she was taught to read and write in multiple languages, such as common, elvish and druidic.

Employment

Ray was initially a Rogue for the Arcane Order but later joined a Druid circle and became a Druid.

Accomplishments & Achievements

  • Stabbed a dwarf in a scuffle.
  • Found the plans for the dwarf weapon which they were going to make with the sunstone.
  • Successfully captured a gnome that could provide information.
  • Created a ring of fire to protect her teammates from an oncoming elven army.
  • Created an exit to safely leave the battlefield.
  • Successfully defeated the Gith queen with her party.
  • Failures & Embarrassments

  • Kicked her teammate when they were trying to console her.
  • Stabbed a teammate when trying to console her.
  • Assaulted a team member in an attempt to catch an enemy soldier.
  • Throws a knife which misses the mark and hits a teammate.
  • Failure to retrieve the Sunstone.
  • Failed to retrieve the Moon blade.
  • Mental Trauma

    Ever since the dwarves destroyed her village and killed her parents, Ray was marked by her almost pathological hatred of the dwarves. To her, all dwarves were guilty, regardless of whether they were involved with the War or not. This view of the world was furthered by her involvement in the Arcane Order.   Ray has severe survivors guilt from her parent's death. She blames herself for not saving her parents from the fire. Ray won't accept there was nothing that she could have done to help her parents. After such a massive loss, she’s learning who to trust, and also often making mistakes. She’s constantly offering trust to others and seeking their approval in opposition to the deep well of shame and guilt she carries as a survivor of violence.

    Intellectual Characteristics

    Ray has a high knowledge of plants and herbs as she is a druid. Due to her time in the Arcane order, she is good at codes and multilingual. She is mainly book smart.

    Morality & Philosophy

    Morality is something she is still currently grappling with. Finally venturing from beyond the world for the first time, she's trying to establish a moral code for herself that she can truly believe in.

    A kid trying to prove themselves in the world. Trying to be a better person and see the world in a new light.
