Ratimir

Ratimir makes the rest of Zekaron look like a verdant paradise. It most of it is cold and empty. Its people are brutal and violent. Some would say they are beast like in both appearance and demeanor. There is no real structure to their society, other than one rule, the strong survive. Some have found that they have strength in numbers, and have build walled cities to protect themselves from would be attackers. Most of Ratimir's populace form small bands of warriors, constantly fighting to prove themselves. Since those that wander the frozen wastes do not farm, they tend to eat what they kill.   If you were to ask residents of the settlements of Ratimir who their ruler was, they would tell you that the Rat King ruled. Not much is known about them, and they have never been seen by outsiders, but the people claim he exists. Staying in his castle with his armies, killing anyone unworthy that approaches his gates. They claim that if you have killed 808 enemies in combat, the gates will open to you. Scholars have noted that this number has great significance to the culture of Ratimir and occurs frequently in their stories.

Geography

Ratimir, like it's southern cousin Nausikaa, is a peninsula cut off from the rest of Xauroll by a vast mountain range. Opposite of their cousin, instead of having a scorching desert, they have a frigid tundra. Evergreen forests grow within the tundra, but not much else. To the south, off of the coast, is a small lake.

Natural Resources

Ratimir does not have much in the way of natural resources. Most of its lands are too cold to grow crops, and its people rarely harvest the woods of the forest, or delve into the mountains.
