Rugex (Rue-geks)

Rugex is an Illithid whose colony was found and wiped out entirely by Gith about 50 years ago. Rugex was forced to take with him a limited supply of tadpoles while escaping his colony's destruction via the use of plane-traveling magic. Using very experimental techniques he was able to preserve the tadpoles in his possession for longer than their usual lifespan while searching for a new place to call home or a way to repopulate his people. Eventually, he would feel the psychic energies and presence of what felt like a weakened Elder Brain emanating from an unknown plane. Thus, Rugex did use his magic to travel to this new universe, finding the world of Zatvor, where he has since been laying low for a decades.
