Cyonia (Psy-oh-nee-uh)

Cyonia is a place that prides itself on being a calm and peaceful location. Settled along the midpoint of Norost's eastern coast, this small town just wanted to have somewhere safe, sustainable and quiet to live out their days. While that is its image today, Cyonia's history wasn't always as such. The founders were a pair of Dragonborn brothers who had inconsolable differences in thought and ideas, so they each founded their own settlement. One brother founded Cyonia while the other founded a sister town called Mewsa. Several decades ago, however, Mewsa befell a terrible fate and was wiped from the map, with only a handful of survivors remaining from its populace who managed to escape to Cyonia and resettle. 
The mysterious thing is that despite years of investigation, questioning and deduction, nobody has been able to figure out what exactly happened to Mewsa and the survivors were unable to give enough information to help solve the mystery. Any attempts to examine the remains of the now-extinct town have turned up very few clues as well, the remnants of it being few and scattered. The best guess anyone has been able to come up with is that Mewsa suffered from an attack by a great outside force that left great devastation in its wake. Some have theorized an old dragon flew overhead and wrought destruction on the settlement below, while others believe that cultists invaded the populace and summoned evil beings from other planes. The truth of the matter is something that may never be solved, but Cyonia has accepted this fact and simply tried to move past this black mark on its otherwise stainless past.
