Hooks

From the most eastern reaches of Eskarina these people have grown since the earliest years of Man. A hard working group the Hooks struggled against the frontier. Being predominantly spans of mountains and forest the Hook was a breading ground for wild beasts with and without access to Aura. Many cities maintain a wall of some sorts, whether it is well maintained depends on its distance from the less developed locations.
After conquering the nearby mountains, prospectors and fortune seekers spread throughout the land. Where they found good ore and field they made their homes. Many of the larger cities are prized for their precious metals which are worked locally into multitudes of product. Most notably the Baft fabric which consist of linens with brocaded precious metals like gold and silver. These fabrics often depict geometric shapes and are woven in small strips of a few centimeters. Within the region it is common to stitch these strips together to make outerwear but is used as decorative flair in many other regions.
Long past the days of roaming bands of war-like Scrofa and raids of Rattus broods, these people no longer tend a watch or local rangers. Hooks instead focus on inward turmoil in some of the larger cities and community building in the smaller locals. A roaming military is dispatched from Frotenyæger to keep the peace and provide assistance on behalf of the lord M.C. Banany. Their people are close knit and seldom leave their region of birth, though it is not uncommon for some to move to larger cities in search of "better" lives.
