Barilius/Barulis

Barilius or Barulis is the god of beauty, frost, and preservation. They are seen as neither male nor female by their close followers but is revered by most as the most beautiful of all the gods. People pray to Kari for longevity or beauty in their children. Some pray in hopes to woo a partner and still others pray for simple a mild winter. Followers of Kari most often build their places of worship high in the mountains, though some can be found within cities as often Kari is worshipped as Barilius God of preservation and power by local lords. Farmers worship yet another version known as Barulis goddess of the frost by placing a tithe of their crops yield upon a mountain for the cold and winds to preserve it in honor of this deity. True followers of this god know them by their true identity though speak not their name.   Barulis has been associated with snow leopards, at once beautiful and terrifying. Whereas Barilius is associated with the northern bear. He is seen in this way as the northern bear sheds its coat of white for a coat of brown in the summer to maintain its supremacy and power throughout the seasons just as a ruler must adapt to change. Their followers and places of worship are often seen decorated with simple symbols of a two toned iceberg or ornate workings of glaciers and snow flakes.   It is believed that this deity froze a volcano that was once the holy center of Cairen in retaliation for an explosion that wiped out a neighboring temple to Barulis. This is said to formed the Frost-Flame Peak.
