Lawful Emotion

The Lawful Emotion is a sweet alcoholic beverage produced by the Purians created by fermenting both honey and sugar in water, the latter of which is added constantly to give it the sweet taste, pretty much making it a cross between mead and rum, sometimes with other additives like spices, fruits or even more sugar. The defining characteristic of the Lawful Emotion is that the majority of the beverage's taste is sweet and easy to down while still having the same bodily effects of strong whiskey, especially when compared to the bitterness of beer and standard rum, which made it famous to the Purian species as a staple drink, and that it emits a luminescent blue coloring that was made from crushed up and melted Aura minerals, which was made sure not to be able to overtake the flavoring.

History

The alcohol appeared over three-hundred years before the Purian's arrival in Zalia, after a dispute was settled that the Purian people deserved a better and more sweeter drink than the typical beer and mead, which was often hated for its bitter taste, to which it was later commissioned by Commandant Carlar and later approved by Mother. After the drink becoming distributed amongst the people of the Flotilla, it quickly became the most delighted drink in the fleet, even used during dinner meetings between commanding officers.

Despite its fame amongst the Purian people, some "emotionless fanatics" saw the drink as a violation of their creed of remaining emotionless and tried to have it removed by taking their case with Mother, but always ended up being ignored due to the popularity of the drink would cause more disarray between the fanatics and the more emotional Purians. But, Mother did regulate the drink to once a week in order to keep her people from being intemperate.

Variations

The most recognizable variation to the Lawful Emotion is the Absolute Emotionless, which is essentially the same drink but with more mashed up Aura shards added in, made and reserved by the Purians who prefer to remain emotionless by any means necessary, even if it comes in the form of a sweet beverage.

Significance

Not that important in Purian culture, but is considered as a must have by the Purians. It's drunk at every kind of meeting, from simple dinner meetings or even militaristic meetings in offices, showing how high in prominence the drink gotten. With its sweet taste and overwhelming effects, it is often considered a addictive drink, thus having to be regulated to once a week. Other than the fact the drink is enjoyable to the taste, it is widely considered to be one of the factors that began the "emotional resurgence" in the Purians species, as it is viewed as something that should be enjoyed with a physical reaction, thus causing tension between the emotional and emotionless Purians.
