Brass Mountains

The Brass Mountains are home to the Kaggranaki, the first and eldest race of Dwarves.

Geography

Located in the far north, in an isolated corner of the Vonian Peninsula, the Brass Mountains are a frigid and rocky wasteland. Massive, subterranean chambers litter the underground beneath the Brass Mountains' surface in what is perhaps the most extensive region of the Underdark. The Kaggranaki refer to this as Zuh Erhkarszun, or the "the Greathollows." This mountain range gets its name from its inhabitants, as the Kaggranaki are infamous for constructing wonders out of brass.

Fauna & Flora

Except for the sparse pine copses that litter the steep inclines of the Brass Moutains, not much else grows here. Goats and wolves are among the most common of animals encountered, along with bears, elks, and the like. Some giants and giant kin have made their way back to these remote peaks after banishment, dwelling just out of reach of the Kaggranaki—so long as you do not approach too close to Kaggranaki settlements they will often turn a blind eye.

Natural Resources

Plenty of zinc, copper, iron, and other ores. Precious metals and jewels are abundant as well, but not nearly as abundant as in the Gemstone Heights.
