Kragbuckle, Goldhand Stonedom Settlement in Ysireth | World Anvil

Kragbuckle, Goldhand Stonedom

Kragbuckle is a clanland within the Goldhand Stonedom on the southern coast of the northern half of Harokin. It is one of seven major clanlands; it shares its underground borders with a northern neighbor, an eastern neighbor, and a southern neighbor. Positioned on the inland stretch of the stonedom, Kragbuckle enjoys a rich, fertile mountain-and-foothills area of temperate deciduous forest. No natural resource is scarce, and plenty of luxury goods are brought in via trade.   Goldhand is an extremely old and wealthy stonedom, being perfectly situated between lun'Aeldvari, sol'Aeldvari, and sea-faring Hymvari from across the narrow sea. It is considered the original stonedom, the place where gran'Duovari were born as a race, created by their primary goddess, the Mother in the Earth.   During and directly after the Shattering, Kragbuckle was fortunate enough to be spared a direct titan incursion, and it was shielded from the arcanic seastorms now plaguing the coastline by the mountain range itself. Hymvari and Aeldvari survivors fled to the relative safety of the underground clanland, where Kragbuckle's wealth had resulted in expansive networks of tunnels and robust stores of food and clothing.   Kragbuckle, through fortune or chance, has remained largely untouched even throughout the fallout of the Shattering and the continuous devastation spread across the land by the alien titans. Though resource management stopped being an easy thing, now that significant populations of non-Duovari were now living full-time in the clanland, Kragbuckle has remained populated and functional since the earliest days of its foundation over 50,000 years ago.
