Awlan

Awlan(s) - Tall, dignified creatures with lynx-proportioned feline bodies and heads that resemble those of barn owls. Their fur and plumage tends to be pale, with few markings. They measure 5-6’ at the shoulder. Awlans are distantly related to both griffs and garouves, but are far more scarce than either; they are considered to be extremely intelligent and nigh holy, and for an awlan to accept a kinvar companion is a rare honor.
