Kozkonyonyaosi

Kozkonyonyaosi, or the "Koz", are a group of indigenous harmonids living in the cold environments of the Frost lands. They are somewhat primitive, relying on their magic abilities to survive, harnessing magic powers for over 4000 years.

The koz have incredible magic powers, they have learnt to create matter out of thin air. With this amount of power, it is only limited to a select few Master magic-users, who must never use this power for selfish purposes. They use this ability to create things to build their houses.

Villages

These houses are mostly made of strong wood types, such as darkshaft trees. Their buildings are identified by the long, purple spiral roofs. The buildings are in a cloes vicinity to each other, and the tall houses are connected via bridges, walkways, corridors.

Hierarchy

The Koz have a simple hierarchy. At the bottom are the civilians, who do not have a class name. They are most people in a village. Next up are the domiri, or the semi-chiefs. These are a small group of people who are in charge of different aspects of the village. They are there to help people with their everyday tasks, and keep people in line.
At the very top is the Prince-domiri. This is the ultimate chief. They are in charge of the entire village, and the Domiri report to the Prince-domiri. The Prince-domiri is in charge for 5 years before a new one takes their place. During that time they may not ever take buildings down unless it is truly necessary, they may only expand on the village. They write the rules for the village and make sure every Koz is happy and healthy.

Schooling

Children attend school, from ages 10-20. Here they will learn how to use magic, how to use it safely, and how to defend themselves from attackers. Koz are not interested in learning about anything but magic, as that is all they do. Everything else they can learn is all optional.

Culture

Funerary and Memorial customs

Koz funerals start by placing the body of the deceased on a large alter, with a blanket made of wool laid on top of them. The funeral director will then use a spell and turn the deceased into a spirit of their favourite animal, who will slowly ascend into the sky until they cannot be seen.
