Bal

Bal, often known as the "First Land", stretches from the north pole down to the tropics of the eastern hemisphere. It received its nickname as the first land because of the long held belief that it was home to the first men when they traveled down out of the Frost Plains. This has since been disproved with the discovery of Ezakk, the continent in which both the Orene and Ambrene humans are believed to have originated.
Bal contains numerous civilizations and races. From dwarves to humans to dragonborn almost any race can be found among the inhabitants of Bal. Civilizations in Bal consist of New Baraas, the North Kingdom, Ig-Bal and Issien, as well as some small city states like Noordlaas and Horn Hill and the clans of the Aaldan Highlands. The dwarves even maintain a settlement in the Barrin mountains that is believed to be older than any other settlement on Yllshara.
The geography of Bal is diverse as well. There is the Aaldan Highlands, the Aaldan Lowlands, the Brellian Plains, the timberlands of Ig-Bal and Issien, and the vast Barrin and Torrin mountain ranges.
