Mitterdens

• Cut off from the other two major cities of the Trihold by a large squishy marsh, Mitterdens is sprawling flat city
• On the stable, fertile land between the two rivers Murrell (north) and Malo (south) lies the homes and business of the well-established folk; the slums extend into the marsh where mud-and-thatch buildings are built on stilts that slowly slide into the pungent muck
• Main export is mercenaries and hands-for-hire; people with money go here to learn from the Soma Schools, but there are less well-known/fancy ways to learn, too
• Ruled by Siopis Leweft
• Everyone knows he’s mostly a figurehead who doesn’t really have much influence; the real political powers in Mitterdens are the heads of the Soma Schools (three branches: hand-to-hand combat, swordfighting, archery)
• Slightly overweight and oily looking
• He can be easily bought and bribed and blackmailed… likely has some seedy business going on behind closed doors
