Composition

Manpower

The entire unit has about 1,000,000 manpower including the unit blacksmiths (400), the unit armorers (400), the unit cooks (200), and the supply chain that follows behind it (about 5,000) and then there is just the base fighting force of 994,000 katyushan heavy troops.

Equipment

Each Heavy troop has one greatsword and a heavy shield as well, they also have very heavy armor along with a large pair of snowshoes. The blacksmiths have one two-handed blacksmithing hammer, a lighter, and average heavy armor along with a larger pair of snowshoes. The armorers have a one-handed rounded hammer, a heavy shield, a lighter, and sturdy heavy armor along with a large pair of snowshoes. The cooks of the group have a lighter, pots and pans, a spear, a kite shield, a cart with multiple thousands of pounds of food, light armor, and a pair of snowshoes. the average supply chain person holds one shortsword (or longsword), a siege crossbow, a cart is pulled with them, light armor, and a pair of average snowshoes.

Weaponry

The troops have greatswords, heavy shields, Warhammer and normal hammers, siege crossbows, shortswords, longsword. they also have five giant crossbows for smashing through gates.

Vehicles

they have hundreds of carts that they carry supply in. they also have five giant crossbow carts that are pulled with the other carts.

Structure

The command structure is comprised of Levy, Kingpin, Quarter guard, and General (sometimes a lord is there and is over the general).

Tactics

The Katyushan tactic is to use the heavy shields as a wall and balance the greatsword on top of them, then you can use the greatsword as a shortened spear, then from there once you have opened up the enemy line then they drop the shield and use the greatsword as a greatsword. also the people with siege crossbows fire from the back lines while the heavy infantry advances.

Training

There is a very entice training that takes place near to the temple of Phustdite, the soldiers are told to fight to the death (with no armor or clothing other than undergarments) in the waist-deep snow and then those that win are to stay in the snow for 24hours and survive. then if they survive that they are to march down to the temple of Phusdite and adorn there armor and weaponry there.

Logistics

Logistical Support

this unit does not require any support other than a food line, the people in this unit are known to build shanty towns wherever they go and stay in those for long periods of time.

Auxilia

this unit is not a part of any division and is known as a giant army and sense the kings of Katyusha only use one unit at a time it is thought to be the entire army of Katyusha, granted there is almost 100 types of this unit and nearly 500 other types of units.

Upkeep

it costs a lot to keep this type of unit at bay when it is on home turf but when it is in neighboring nations they usually raid and pillage to find the things they need.

Recruitment

The people who want to join this unit must be 6ft, Strong enough to lift a 155lbs anvil, be a born Katyushan, and also be able to complete the training test. there is no gender specifications or pre-existing training needed.

History

This unit type has been used in multiple battles and the most major one was the capture of the capital of smog (for a short time) from then there on it was in hundreds of major Katyushan battles.

Historical loyalties

Most units of this type are loyal to The Blacksmith of Blackridge: Troy. The reason behind this is because he is the most prominent military figure in Katyusha and they are all proud to be lead by him.
