Dark Tide

Definition: When a seemingly powerful enough individual rises to dominate the other broods, a dark tide begins, and the ranks of the various broods swell before being unleashed in a great wave of destruction. There have been eleven dark tides in the past, with most being fended off by the dwarves though an equal number have simply collapsed due to infighting amongst the various broods.
