Eric Vouzalier Tijone (West Tin: ɛrɛk vuzælir tizon) was a Tin noble born in the Viscovian Sea to Waro Iksin Tijone, a descendent of the powerful Tin Tixone Kiros, and a woman named Yaru. Vouzalier founded the city of Tihja, the first major Tin settlement in Tytheria, and the Vaintum of Tihja, the first Tin kingdom in Tytheria. Most monarchs with the name Erek or anything similar are namesakes of Eric Vouzalier Tijone.

Vouzalier famously did not want any of his descendants to be named after him because he did not want to be overshadowed by his successors' accomplishments. His wish ultimately would not come true as his great-great-great-grandson, the sixth Vaint of Tihja, would be named Eric Tijone II (43-95 AY). His epithet "the Great"/"Aber" would also be given to Vaint Eric IX (859-920).
