Yaktoh

Yaktoh is a world just like any other. This world has its own set of laws and creatures. It's own ecosystem and dominant race. But the main thing most other worlds have, is the race of humans. A creature known for it's intelligence and adaptability to survive. In this world humans are the dominant race, like most other worlds. They don't take too kindly to anything or anyone that doesn't agree with them. They will even attack their own kind in an outburst of emotion and ignorance. It's ironic how the word "ignorant" was made by the humans.   The world of Yaktoh already has magic, so their was really no such thing as fantasy. If you wanted to light a campfire, just use magic. If you ran out of water, just use magic. Anything is possible with magic. And with that, they attempted to create life. The creatures known as Elves, Dragons, Goblins and many more were thus created after centuries of work. But that only spelled doom for the creators. During one of those tests, they had managed to create a creature they called Dragon. A thick and towering beast of ten meters with wings that could cover it's entire body, a spiked tail half its height in length, the body of a lizard and the ability to create gases that it can ignite in it's stomach.   This dragon broke free of its shackles and freed the other captives. During the incident, they nearly wiped out the human race, destroying most of it's technological and magical knowledge and reducing it's population to a tenth of what it once was. Millennia later, the ecosystem had calmed down and the humans were slowly gaining back more lost land. The created races are all hostile with each other, the dragon is said to still live and watch over them making sure that the races don't turn each other towards extinction. The once grand human civilization that had created life are now no more than artifacts of great power, used for political and military gain.   A new form of power has emerged throughout all life on the planet. One that only one in a hundred million could obtain. They call these creatures with special powers, Genies. Powers separate from magic and can rival it's strength. There is a way to find these Genies. One must look at the flow of Psions around them. If they aren't being sucked into them, then they are a Genie. Most Genies don't have the ability to use magic, and most other creatures take in Psions even when they don't know it.   Another Era of chaos is about to begin. Not just for the humans, but all life on Yaktoh.
