The Seal of the Eight

Purpose / Function

The Seal serves the public function of selecting The Empire's emperor. After the previous emperor receives their seven days and seven nights of mourning, a festival is held near the seal. People who wish to attain the position must climb Hero the tallest mountain in The Glory Mountain Range. The Seal is found near the peak of Hero. By kneeling in the center of the The Eight's statues a test will begin. The test takes place in the applicant's mind. Reports vary as to the challenge presented. The Eight do not allow people with magic to be emperor as the council consists of wizards.
The Seal has second function that has only ever been known to nine people.
