Rather than a conventional hardwood forest, the trees of Darkmoon are great mushrooms. A moist area that hosts a great deal of biodiversity despite the cold.

Natural Resources

For most of history the mushrooms were thought of as a needlessly risky food source. However recently an alchemist found a way to petrify the mushrooms into a strong buoyant material. Best of all the mushroom trunks can be carved and shaped before applying the petrifying agent to create seamless structures free of joints and nails.
