Biology

Anatomy

This breed shares most of its morphological traits with those of sea turtles, rather than tortoises, and exclusively produce pearl due to their diet.

Size

Larger than an average sea turtle, they continue to grow in size as they age, and no upper limit to their size is known

Crystalline Form

The body of The Terrapin is crystalline in structure, granting them a increased durability and an increased level of strength correlating with the material properties of the pearl their body consists of.

Notable Abilities

Increased Strength

The strength of a Pearl Terrapins grows in proportion to their size, granting them theoretically unlimited strength

High Speed

Their immense strength and hydrodynamic body shape allow the Pearl Terrapin to swim at high speeds; however, due to their fins, this speed is extremely limited on land

Pearlescent Shell

Although their spikes have been bred out to increase hydrodynamics, Pearl Terrapins have retained their energy reflection abilities through the use of their shell in a similar manner to a mirror and their energy storage abilities in the same manner as Gemstone Terrapins.

Basic Information

Ecology and Habitats

Due to their need to feed on minerals, Pearl Terrapins thrive on seafloors and near the coast, where dissolved minerals are more prevelent in the water.
