Session 6

After regrouping with Tsk'kar, the group headed to The Getaway Bathhouse and Spa to get cleaned up. They discussed Faron's marks and a skull tattoo on the back of Nasir's neck. Duo claimed the scar on his side is from him stabbing himself, and Faron called bullshit.
They returned to the Chapterhouse to learn about the dine and dasher. Heren d'Ghallanda told them he uses a hat of disguise to ensure that all of the dining, drinking, and other establishments are kept up to standards, but someone stole it. Over the last couple weeks, several places have fallen victim to dining and dashing, and all the culprits have in common is that they wear a fancy hat. The group immediately split up -- Tozi, Tsk'kar, and Faron to the Candlelight and Nasir, Cian, and Duo to the Pink Conch. While the boys enjoyed drinks, snacks, and intimate conversation, the ladies and Tsk'kar soon found themselves chasing down a slippery thief - who both ran out on his bill and stole the gold of the diners nearby. After chasing him down the streets, and a small skirmish, they managed to get the hat back but the thief (a rather acrobatic fellow) managed to escape. The reward: 200gp or their choice of magic items from The Chapterhouse's lost and found. They chose a pair of Owlsight Goggles and The Book of Identification.
Faron headed back to The Getaway to enjoy a bath under the stars. One of the patrons, a half-orc named Goragga, caught sight of her markings and asked where she got her work done, and they engaged in conversation for a bit. Goragga has a couple runes on her in exchange for saving some members of the Throne Gate Ruins builders. Why come to Stormreach? She wanted to travel, have some adventure, and wasn't finding that in Droaam; Stormreach has its fair share of politics, but not like what's going on in Khorvaire. She works for House Tharashk - first in the mines, now in the refinery - and they protect their own. Stormreach has it's own politics - what with all the refugees and various factions - but it's an interesting place to live. They are supposedly under the same laws of Khorvaire, but some measure of protection is always good. The Houses have some power, as does the Blood Council of the Red Ring, but the Storm Lords (Yorrick Amanatu, Varen Lassite, Kirris Sel Shadra, Paulo Omaren, and Jonas Wylkes) have ultimate power in Stormreach. You can ask for an audience, or potentially find them in Lorsmarch Palace, but they usually show up at Varen's parties at Molou's Distillery. If Faron wants to talk to Goragga again, she usually comes to The Getaway a couple times a week, and enjoys the weekly Wir arm wrestling at the Wavecrest Tavern.
Back at the Chapterhouse, Duo revealed the truth of his scar - that he witnessed thieves robbing an exhibit on Xen'drik artifacts and ran away with something they had their eyes on; they followed him to his newspaper, and in the destruction, he fell on the strange Khyber dragonshard object.
Nasir asked Cian to braid his hair; Cian will think about the right style for him. Nasir spoke a bit with his new familiar, now named Vi. As he began his rest, he felt a phantom hand caressing his jaw.
