Gizli
Swamp waders
Basic Information
Anatomy
tall bulky beast with four long legs with longer fingers to wade in the thick swamp water and two clawed arms that hang beneath the Gizli's body.
Genetics and Reproduction
Gizli make loud gurgling moans in the fall to find their partner but they don't actually mate until spring. Male Gizli will fight for their partner by wading near another male and sleeping, when they wake they will stand stone still until time where they blindly swing at where they think they remember the other was the winner is the first to hit.
Ecology and Habitats
the swamps by roksteppe
Dietary Needs and Habits
because of its poor sense of smell and lack of eyesight the Gizli use its long branch like "fingers" to sense the slightest movement of water, once its prey gets close enough the Gizli snaps its arms forward and grabs it taking no time to finish it. Gizli are very close to their partner and will share its catch with them without much thought of its own hunger.
Biological Cycle
late spring after laying their kin Gizli shed their skin, during their shed the beast looks like it's rotting. You can see its smooth skull through it's slopping flesh.
Additional Information

Geographic Origin and Distribution
Gizli live in swamps and marshes all around Xedal
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
Gizli are completely blind and have a poor sense of smell however, its long "fingers" sense the slightest movement of water much like a crocodiles which don't exactly exist in xedal.
Lifespan
50 years
Average Height
6 ft
Body Tint, Colouring and Marking
Gizli's skin as a pale brown grey matching the swamps flora. The tall creatures thorns and teeth are a bright red however making them easy to spot to anything tall enough to see, this is thought to keep things too big for the Gizli to take down to wander too close.
