Vaejus Solar Nova

The Vaejus Solar Nova was a remarkable phenomenon with a strangely spiritual history. It, of course, is related to the beliefs of the Warring Cults of Rugiv and Mhiri. Despite their constant disagreements, the history behind this celestial occurrence is a story both cults share. The story is as follows:   After the release of the Imprisoned Starborne, [The Starborne imprisoned within The Temple of Rugiv was named Anawel. The Starborne imprisoned within The Church of Mhiri was named Jersahl.] it was hard to find them again. As the only tangible beings both sides could even fathom to worship, this was very distressing. Both Cults united in order to find where either of them had gone. The Children of Rugiv wanted to apologize. The Children of Mhiri wanted to take advantage of them.   It would seem that the Celestial Entities they once used to power their places of worship had gone into hiding. To avoid their captors. Eventually, the two cults split again, with Rugiv's Children giving up the search for the Starborne after coming to terms that they might never be forgiven for the sins they as a group committed. Mhiri's Children, however, were persistent in their search for the Starborne, desperate to find such destructive beings of immense power. It took decades to find them again; until they finally came out of hiding.   Somewhere close to The Aquia System, The freed Starborne were found once again, orbiting each other in their celestial glory, communicating in ways mere mortals could never hope to understand. Those without a celestial parent to guide them thought of the Starborne simply as stars in the night sky brighter than most others. Perhaps even as distant planets not yet reached by explorers.   Suddenly, the two began to flare violently at each other, the threads of their very beings slashing against each other. No one who truly understood what they were could understand what was happening. Their orbits became irregular. The lashing streams of pure energy looked more and more deliberate. They moved erratically. It was unlike anything any Celestial Child had ever had the chance to witness. Eventually, the two beings forcefully collided with each other. Sparks of solar energy flew. A shockwave rocked the galaxy. The light emitting from either Starborne was almost blinding as their physical forms loosened and lost their shape. from there it became clear what was happening. The beings were tearing each other apart. For what reason no one knows, but the two ripped and tore at the fabric of the other's very being. Pieces of energy flew and hurled toward planets and space vessels, melting metal in an instant and setting biomes ablaze. Complete pandemonium was among Xaritry. Dying planets fell apart. Worlds shook. Some planets within the inhabited systems were almost knocked into an entirely new orbit.   At the end of it all, Jersahl's final moment had come to pass. Finally unable to contain the raw energy being fought forth to its surface, they finally burst, exploding into a brilliant show of light, creating a Supernova. The standing Starborne, Anawel, used her divine abilities to force the supernova to gravitate to one central point and abandoned a piece of herself within the condensed nova before fleeing the scene. The Supernova then burst a second time, creating an explosion more devastating than the last and for the first time in history, the empty void of space, unable to let sound pass, screamed in agony.   The result was a massive dense cloud of Stardust condensed into small balls of pure light. The space in between the Aquia System and its neighbor, The Sodijo System, was almost entirely occupied by the brilliant burning red spectacle of tiny constellations. Some who came to see the grave of Jersahl described it as a miniature galaxy.   While it is not confirmed whether or not this tale is real, a scientific explanation was given, that the Solar Nova must have formed from a Stardust spilling caused by Spacial Turbulence. When the Stardust regrouped, it formed two fresh stars, unable to contain their own mass and hence imploded in on themselves, creating The Vaejus Solar Nova.   Regardless of its origins, however, the damage its creation had brought upon Xaritry could not be denied. Once the chaos was over and the events were documented, it was reported that approximately 3.5 Million citizens registered in inhabited planets died as a result of ecosystem-destroyed fires and overheating that ravaged all corners of Xaritry's charted territories. 2 Million citizens were permanently injured, 80 Thousand had temporary injuries, and only 80 reported people who were subjected to the destruction were able to fully recover. Everyone else had permanent markings and burns and the planets faced severe environmental damages that took years to compensate for.
