Sapient Nixians

Sapient Nixians, or literally just Nixians, are the sapient species of Nix .
Nixians are humanoid half-shrimp creatures that are usually approximately a foot (0.3 meter) longer than a human in scale. Their shrimp half and humanoid half are all the same color which usually ranges in different shades of green. They have humanoid facial features as well, save for an extra eye on either cheek. A Nixian's eyes are usually feline-like but some Nixians have developed more humanoid-looking eyes in their development. Another noticeable feature is that a Nixian's dominant hand always appears larger than the other.
Nixians have evolved to be herbivores, using their advanced technology to develop domesticated plants that usually resemble some form of algae, hence why Nix has many green clusters visible on its surface.
Nixians are observed to generally have short tempers and can get quite aggressive and yet Nixians are very social, usually grouping in large settlements. Like apartment buildings but cooler and everyone gets along. A Nixian's aggression is thought to be more of a societal thing rather than nature, as Nixians raised on other planets do not have such issues with their temper.
The Nixians' choice of government turned out to be a Monarchy, which is quite ironic considering the species that made it possible for safe, fast, and accessible inter-system travels did not unionize their planet through a republic or democracy, but instead put the entire political status of the planet on the shoulders of a royal family. Unfortunately, this system is not working in favor of the planet. While the Royal Family of Nix are generally good people, the concerns expressed across the planet lie with the fact monarchy is an "ancient system" and not fit for a species so technologically advanced and that corruption might take hold soon after the family is made up of entirely new people. Luckily for the Nixians, the royal family is currently working on arranging an alteration of their government.
The species is also quite wealthy with many tourists coming to visit and having the largest influencer in space tech in its economy. It pays the Nixians well to have such an infamous status.
The Nixian military is generally on-par strength-wise with the rest of the Galaxy. This clearly shows that military strength is very much not a priority for the Nixian Royals.
