Tez'Alti

Love Blooms In Spring

History

Named after the twin spirits, Tezara and Altina, worshipped as household gods of Spring, Romance and the Harvest. Affectionately shorted to Tez'Alti. The festival was founded by a small sect of worshipers, who purposefully planned a festival they knew would be popular to spread word of their gospel. Their scheme worked. Nowadays Tez'Alti is an extremely well-known holiday, especially celebrated throughout the Altrisian State, and known by name even within cities that do not host it.   Though the festival has fallen out of direct favor with the Empire as a whole due to the Ceridian Empire demanding the worship of their specific gods and no others, it is still done as a general holiday in most towns, and simply left unnamed directly. Though in areas where the rebellion has taken over, they opens brag of following the proper holiday months.

Components and tools

Blossom Festivals often sell flower crowns and other jewelry crafted from flowers and elaborate silk clothing. The Bloom Festivals tend to sell special liquor crafted from flowers and honey that can only be found during the second month, crafted from the holiday when it was celebrated a year prior to properly age.

Observance

A spring holiday, Tez'Alti spans over two months with a handful of special days throughout. It is considered disrespectful to celebrate only one month or the other. Festivals often take place during the first week of the first month (Blossom festival), and the last week of the second month (Bloom festival). Attending these festivals is not the only way to signify celebration, but superstitious peoples will never only go to just one.
