Band of Armory

A recent advancement in magical technology invented by an enterprising Crocotta, a Band of Armory is capable of storing up to five weapons at any time. The user does not need to utter a command nor make any gesture to summon their weapon of choice, they need only "think" it into their hand. Though the average Crocotta wears the Band around the bicep, it fits more akin to a bracelet on larger species.

History

Invented in 4612 Unified Age, the Band of Armory was the labor of love of a silversmith named Adoes, son of Burdukhan. Born to Clan Dancing Feather, Adoes began his life as the apprentice to his clan's Weapon Keeper. By the time he formally reached adulthood, he had mastered the skills his mentor had taught him and sought out more knowledge by travelling to the city of Argea, where he spent two decades under the tuteladge of the Gorgoron's finest silversmiths.   Though his jewelry designs were praised and are highly sought after as collector items in the current day, Adoes never forgot his roots on the Xalendrian Steppe. He spent nearly his entire adult life prefecting a piece of jewelry he thought would be invaluable to Crocotta warriors. Though the elderly Adoes was too frail to make the journey across the Steppe himself, the first completed Band was hand-delivered to the War Leader of Clan Dancing Feather and met with much fanfare and wonder. It has since become tradition for every Crocotta crafter who masters the creation of the Band to send their first successful piece back to their clan, as proof of their artisitic mettle.

Rarity
As the technology to create Bands of Armory has only existed for the last 200 years and requires a relatively high skill in silver smithing, they are not overly common. They are obtained more easily in Argea, where they were first invented and where the most masters of their crafting reside to the present day. Bands are also far from budget friendly, considering the time, skill, and materials used in their creation.
Raw materials & Components
Bands of Armory are made of solid silver, and thus are quite expensive. They appear as nothing more than a smooth, featureless loop of metal, as the spells used to enchant the Band are folded into the silver itself during the forging process, rather than merely being etched on afterwards.
