The Red Desert

A desert of red sand that borders Aukeon and Jamogi, The Red Desert is said to be the location of a great battle back when the gods roamed the land. Most of the desert is considered to be part of Jamogi, and there is even a Jamogi city named Valstar in the northern part of the desert.
This desert acts as the main barrier between the two countries, as winds are always blowing the sands around and the many hills make it hard to travel in large groups. But with tensions rising between the two provinces, it is only a matter of time before armies try to cross it.
However, this land is also home to many dangerous creatures. Various snakes, carnivorous plants that can live for months without nutrients, giant worms, and wild dogs. Rumor has it that there is even a colony of dragons in this desert, but no evidence to back it up.
This desert is, however, a semi-common trade route. While the risk is high, it is the quickest way to cross for a well prepared and protected merchant caravan. Many bandits avoid this desert route, so the treasure from the caravans lost here may still be exactly where it was lost.

This desert also has ruins from many centuries ago. While scholars are trying to learn who once lived here, there may be some of members of this forgotten alive today with answers, if you could get them to tell.
