Malar chose Arlen for her great hunting prowess and skill in hunting

Before she was to participate in the Ceremony, Malar put her through several tests, and Arlen passed them all with flying colours. Impressed by her talent, Malar himself conducted her ceremony. They became close friends and even after the gods had left the realm, Malar would often visit her.

Malar's Artifact of Power, Malar's Bow, was left as a gift for Arlen, and still remains in her possession.
