Izaric Exorcists

The Izaric Orders are not exclusive to Falgor, but they are certainly most active there. Really, anywhere there’s a high concentration of Izaric believers, there’s bound to be at least one Order active.     Depending on the Order, they are a gathering of Exorcists (Seekers), Clerics (Casters), Templars (Warriors), or a combination of them. The four most active Orders are the Great Crypt, New Dawn, Fallen Court, and the Enlightened One.   The Great Crypt focuses on combat. They seek to hone themselves so that they can do battle with the evil forces of the world. They use blessed weapons and can even coat their own fists in holy magic. They are the quintessential Exorcists, but they also have Clerics and Templars in their ranks.   The New Dawn is all but pacifistic. The Order emphasizes the power of holy magic to heal others. As such, they’re essentially sorcerous doctors, calling upon the essence of Heaven to heal the sick and injured. They can easily be found in a party of adventurers, serving to keep their allies alive, but they can also be in towns, serving as both priest and healer.   The Fallen Court is considered a heresy by some and a danger by all. They are Exorcists that have struck deals with Infernals of one kind or another, gaining power in exchange for something else. They are wildly effective – demonic power has always been used to fight other demons – but there is always the fear that the Exorcist will lose themselves to the call of Pandemonium and they will become the very thing they fight.   Finally, the Enlightened One utilizes the power of the mind. Some people say that they tap into the power of Abominations, not unlike the Fallen Court with Infernals. Alas, few actually know where the power comes from. What they do know is that the Exorcists of the Enlightened one, as well as the Clerics and Templars, use forces of madness and psychic energy to combat the evils of the world.
