Daimyo
Daimyo are the ruling class of Yugawa and Matsura. While the King is the one true sovereign, they pass few laws and do little to actually legislate the day-to-day lives of their people. Similarly, the Shogun are certainly more powerful and preside over multiple Daimyo, but their duties are largely military and regulatory. The Daimyo are the ones that actually do the leg work of governing a country.
The Daimyo are roughly equivalent to an Earl or a Count, depending on the relative power they command.
The title has also been appropriated by the Gumi to refer to their upper echelon.
