Alex's parents died a few months after he was born when his Godfather Ash blew up their plane but Alex was brought up thinking his parents died in a plane crash.
He lives with his uncle Ian Rider until he dies in a 'car accident', which wasn't really an accident nor his death caused by a car crash.

Education

Alex had a more or less normal childhood enrolled in his local primary school.
Up until his uncle's death at the age of 14, he has a normal school life at high school.
Due his missions he struggles to keep up with his school work once he gets involved with MI6.
