The forest that live off lightning!

The gloomy forest consisted of but one spices of tree. But each and every one was locked and connected at thier roots, underground. Some could say the entire forest was but one tree.
It spread like fungus through the land. Spreading through its roots, wrapping its dark grey branches around everything , anything! It was simply... unstoppable.
This forest had no leaves either, for the only way they got energy in these part was from... lightning!
Yes!
This land was covered In endless clouds of thunder. Every second lightning striked and the trees rejoiced as its much neccassary energy fills thier branches with power!
You could say the forset was basically a huge electro panel (kinda like a solar panal). Perfectly addpated to absorbing and living off the lightning.
Some venturers say it looks beautiful when the beams of electricity spread from tree to tree like a wave. My the veiw would be stunning from above wouldn't it? Of course you'd probably die if you flew. Definitely.

Well why on earth is it so thundery? One might ask.
Well,well, well... basically... long ago an ancient mighty white dragon, which breathed electricity rather than fire, went into hibernation in this very land - and never woke. Some thought it dead. It did look very dead.
Trees, forests, plants, ecosystems, grew and fell over and over untill that very same dragon was buried deep under the earth by now . But this land had a different energy. An electric one. Overtime, the plants that grew here learnt to adapt to the electric energy and climate. Until one day a parasitic tree mysteriously emerged, the very tree that spanned this forest and spread endlessly, NEVER to be stopped.
Although they did try.
But in thier attempt to chop, the trees and thier erratic branches, would ouse sappy acid out of it, fiercely burning anything it touched including the axes after a while.
So no one... Could stop the advance of this forest.... No one.
Why though, why did this forest emerge!!?
Because an ancient evil took advantage of the lands energy from the supposedly "dead dragon" and, from his powers of hate and evil, made a cursed tree... Which spread..... And became the forset we see today...... Spreading still, at this very moment.
Although the great kingdoms did not see it as a threat....not quite just yet.
