The beings of the Celestial Dawn

Only seven known living members of this species (the 7 divines) according to Zevian.   They are made up of entirely magical energy and unless they choose to take one, they have no physical form. Normally operate on a type of neural net with every single celestial alive and move fluidly and communicate succinctly as a group like a school of fish but on a much grander spread out scale. This allows movements across the universe to be coordinated easily. While they do technically have a free will/conscience, nearly all of these beings lack the emotional complexities that organic creatures have and tend to just fall in line with the consensus of the group. Celestial beings also don't have the same needs or desires that normal organic creatures do like eating or socializing. Their only purpose that they are created with is to combat Xehás.   Going along with their lack of emotional complexity, this leads them to not have any type of hierarchy. In any matter no matter how large or small, an individual refers to the judgment of every celestial alive. If the majority deem the task favorable, the task is carried out by the individual. If it is deemed not favorable, a new solution is suggested and once again voted upon. This is carried out instantly, but is also their biggest weakness as the Xehásians in some cases have been able to track the Celestial Dawn based on these tight beam communications. The transmissions were carried by shooting highly-concentrated beams of light at speeds greater than light can normally travel.  Upon reaching its target, audio cues would be able to tell the message to the recipient.  In some instances, these communications became interrupted or even intercepted by Xehás.  Also while it happens instantly to a mortal, when combating equally powerful foes, the communication can become laggy when no good solutions are suggested. Through this transfer of magical communication, only clear concrete suggestions and responses are sent. Culture hasn't developed and these beings have never developed desires or even given names for each individual. Each is simply a pawn, a husk of magical energy, that follows the consensus of the group.   As they are the most powerful magical creatures in existence, they have no need for technology or anything, relying solely on their magical capabilities in everything from communication to combat.   As their time goes on, however, they become more and more complex. They all have the power to create new celestials by pulling their knowledge and skill together to quite literally build a new magical being often using pieces of itself or the galaxies and space around them. This process, however, takes a long time and lots of resources to pull of and is only done rarely.   If they do not fall in battle, they do eventually reach the end of their cycle and die, so to speak, though this process takes an extraordinarily long time and only happens once in a blue moon. When it does happen, however, their magical essence is distributed across space and a new galaxy is formed from the spot of their death.   In the case of the 7 divines, they were fighting a losing battle following the consensus protocol attempted to shut down and "self destruct." But there was a malfunction that essentially put them into stasis instead, disconnecting them from the Celestial Dawn and taking them off the grid from both sides. upon waking, they settled on making a homestand to boost their power to try to reconnect with the consensus. Though this initially worked, they were forced to cloak themselves after unwanted attention was drawn.   What they didn't realize, was as they become more and more disconnected, both through distance and communications, from the Celestial Dawn, the quicker they evolved and gained emotions and complexities. The energy that would normally be shared with the entire Celestial dawn to evolve the entire consensus at the same slow rate, was now spread only between the seven of them. Even in their short time disconnected from the main group, they quickly developed a sense of fear enough so that they chose to hide instead of attempt to continue or retreat. Without knowing it, they had become the most complex and highly advanced of their kind, and their creation of humanity would only further that.

Basic Information

Anatomy

While most species are built of physical matter, then allow for magical energy to flow through them, celestials are entirely made from the pure manifestation of that magical force. They carry no actual mass. This allows them to effortlessly travel through walls or across dimensional planes. When they appear on Zevian they project a normal form onto themselves to appear as one of the common races of the land.
