Maledict of the Blood Mood

The maledict of the blood moon is the remnant of the moon goddess Hina's closest worshipers.  While no one has reportedly met with the goddess face to face, she has been known to reward her followers handsomely with blessings and power under the moonlight.  She has also been known to favor the bold and those who spur action.  To this end, she spoke openly and negatively about the seven seeing herself as their equal or even more powerful since they have left.  Wants to prove that she can restore the world without them.  High ranking members of the following commonly spoke of how Hina would one day restore Zevian to its former glory and on that day she would join in flesh and blood. 
On the blood moon eclipse, however, Hina disappeared without warning.  With no way of finding her, her followers worried that she may have left them.  But others thought much worse; that she had been taken or killed by the seven, jealous of her growing powers.  From there the group fractured, some having given up hope, but others took action as Hina would and chose to seek her out and exact their revenge on whoever took her.  This was the founding of the Blood Moon Maledict. 
Until today, the Maledict's main objective has been to locate the beacon in Harlong and activate it to recall the gods and release Hina.  The beacons are mostly recorded through history as legends and places of higher worship thought to be a metaphysical state of mind, rather than a physical place.  But despite this, the Maledict landed on Reredos as a location of interest and a possible prison for Hina.  Without the index, however, gaining entry is impossible and little progress has been made.  In somewhat desperate attempts, the Blood Moon began attacking shipments of weapons, artifacts, and technology hoping to find some clues that could lead them to the fabled Index.  Unbeknownst to them, it had been in their possession the whole time, just in disguise and now with the party.
