Aarakocra (ethnicity)

The "pure" Aarakocra (often simply just referred to as Aarakocra) are members of the Aarakocra species that have not renounced the gods. They are one of the only sentient peoples permanently capable of flight. Aarakocran culture embraces this fact, and their culture heavily revolves around the sky. The gods have been recently punishing Aarakocra for the blasphemous religious ideas permeating their culture by turning them into Kenku. This has caused Aarakocra populations to significantly dwindle. To counteract their current cultural crisis, many Aarakocra have hardened their religious beliefs. The Aarakocra do not occupy a colony in Wagakeya, seeing it as a sink to which they may send Kenku that corrupt their "religiously pure" kingdoms of the Hoatzinry.
