The Legend of Bell Crow
Once upon a time the Bell Crow had been a true lion at heart. Throughout his entire life he had fought hard to overcome injustice and atrocities in his land. Despite all his effort, he failed. Fear gripped the hearts of Vedanians and people soon closed their eyes to the evils ravaging through the lands. Children grew up seeing wickedness around them, and many became wicked themselves, and so the cycle of evil continued. He had seen more evil than anyone, no matter how much he fought he could see no end on the horizon to the darkness that shrouded his country. And so even the flame burning in his heart was snuffed out. Defeated by darkness, he fled into the dark forest of the Kragwitch Wood . He wandered alone for days, trying to escape the evil he had fought his entire life. He came upon a grave site, in horror he looked at the scene before him. Hundreds of graves all looted and those who dwelt in the earth was denied the sanctity of their final resting place. He fled the scene running for days, all the while slowly his mind was consumed by the thoughts of revenge and feelings of rage. Malnourished, he stumbled upon an old altar dedicated to the Goddess of Death. He felt a strong presence emitting from it forcing him down in prayer, mustering the last of his strength his lifted his hand to the sky asking that those evil at heart would be smitten. His prayer sunk to the bowels of the earth, where Wee Jas heard his cries. A contract was formed, the mans body was destroyed and hiss will be placed with a new powerful body with the power to punish evil. Now so, the Bell Crow was born. He was deceived though, bound to the forests heart, the price was he was to become the guardian of these ancient unmarked graves of the Krag Witch. Whether or not this story is true, it drives fear into the hearts of children to this day..... When the contract was sealed the god of Death reached out and plucked the mans two eyes from his head, screaming in agony he soon realized Death took his eyes and replaced them with thousands in return. All his crow servants now see all, and with that, he sees as well. No one can escape the penetrating gaze of the Bell Crow.
