Rose - The Ancient Warrior

As the party finds themselves in the maw of death, Rose makes her entrance.   A warrior woman, untouched by time makes her way into a dark and depressing cave.   "A Paladin morgue..." she comments to herself upon seeing the many Paladin bodies.   She silently walks through the stone halls of the ruins.   The only conversation that follows her are her echoing footsteps.   Stopping a moment to pray for the deceased and to find reprieve at the fountain of Morrighan.   She reaches down into it's cool and energizing waters. Cupping her hands she takes a drink.   She continues further into the cave, the conversation with her echo interrupted by the sounds of combat coming from another room.   "The boy..." she thinks to herself, upon seeing her young acquaintance.   "His party seems to be in quite the bind." she grabs for her sword.   POSSIBLE PATHWAY 1) DARTS SAVES THE PARTY (SEEMS ABSOLUTELY DOABLE) 2) PARTY IS DEFEATED (THEY LOSE THE MIRROR)     (1) ON DARTS   (2 LOSE THE MIRROR) As final moments blink away from everyone's eyes, the sound of a woman's voice can be heard.   The sound of flesh rending, blood spilling, and the ring of metal echo through the parties ears.   They find themselves waking up in the fountain room. Water being splashed on their face.   Kaladin, notices something missing, the mirror, and something new, a note.   "I see you have something incredibly important. I have been watching your journey from afar. Meet me at the top of The Tower of Wisdom in Migney." -- Anonymous.   === FOR KALADIN "The Tower of Wisdom. Possibly one of the largest libraries in Erinn, The Paladin Order had been collecting many books here for a long time. Sections of the library are open to the public. However, the higher floors contain many of the restricted records and books of the world of Erinn."   "The only other library that closely rivals the The Tower of Wisdom is the library at The Wizards College."   "There are some private libraries in this world that hold more information than that of The Paladin Order or The Wizards College." -- Rose/Paladin Order Head/Head of the Wizards College/Nobles and people with rights to restricted knowledge.   === The party makes their way back out of the ruins.   Ring "This is my miracle, to bring light to the world." "--ht to the world." - One piece of the ring. "This is my mir--" - Another piece of the ring. "--acle, to bring lig--" - Another piece of the ring.   When they get back, Adrienne says she noticed something she's never seen before leave the ruins. A dark beast that carried about such a grave feeling. As though death had never been closer to her than it was in that moment.   Adrienne: "Thank the gods you're all back in one piece. Did some shit happen in there? I saw this terrifying dark beast leave! It felt as though death had never been closer to me than in that moment, and I've had a lot of near death experiences."   The party explains what happened down there to whatever degree.   Adrienne: "I think we'd best get moving... We'll have to make a brief stop, it won't be long. Sooner we can get that taken care of, the better."   ===   While in transit, Elita visits Darts.   Elita: "Darts, I have something to tell you... Everyone's visions, they all had something to do with an event I am all too familiar with..."   Darts either listens or doesn't.   Elita (listens): "There was once an elite fighting caste in your world, known as Dragoons. They were honorable warriors, perishing in combat fighting to protect your world from Winglies. The Winglies competed to be the ruling caste of your world and would have succeeded if the Dragoons didn't lay down their lives. Yet, you're all related to this event..."   Elita (Ignored): "I suppose it isn't my place to share this information then... Perhaps, I need to think more on it. My thoughts may deceive me and I am misremembering. It has been 10,000 years..."   ===   Party makes it to the wilds settlement Adrienne was heading to.   The town features a lot of store fronts and places to sleep. Looking something like out of an old western.   A rough looking tavern resides in the center. An individual is seen getting thrown out and a crossbow dart pegging their head.   Adrienne: "Now y'all wait here. I've got business in there."   If the party follows her in, they'll find a bar with a lot of rough looking folks. Plenty of Orcs, some Gnolls, Goblins, and battle scarred individuals of all sorts.   She comes walking to a particularly mean looking Goliath named Gol'Kon.   Adrienne: "Gol'Kon, didja miss me?!"   Gol'Kon: "*Silent*"   Adrienne: "Ah hell, that's the stoicism I missed."   Adrienne pulls up a seat with Gol'Kon.   Adrienne: "Alright so real talk. I need to know, you got any information? Anything at all? It's been weeks, you have to have found something out by now..."   Gol'Kon gives her a silent nod and reaches into his bag. He pulls out a single, small, piece of paper and lays it down on the table for her.   Adrienne picks it up and looks over it like a mad woman. Her face melts from excitement to disappointment.   Adrienne: "This is really the best you found? This is really it?"   Gol'Kon nods.   Adrienne: "Well ain't this a bunch of horse shit!!"   Adrienne throws over the table. Gol'Kon, politely, picks the table back up. Fumes. The bar is silent for a moment as everyone tensely looks at Adrienne. She composes herself.   Adrienne: "Don't let me interrupt your drinkin'! Go on git back to it!!" She yells at the bar patrons.   Things resume in the bar.   Adrienne: "Alright, well what about the other thing? Did you happen to find anything about that?"   Gol'Kon nods, pulling out a book and placing it on the table.   Adrienne: "The first thing you bring me a god damn napkin but for this you have a book? What the hell?"   Gol'Kon shrugs, turning away, resting an elbow on the table and drinking from a large mug.   Adrienne looks over the book a little.   Adrienne: "Hell, where did you find this?"   Gol'Kon smirks.   Adrienne smirks as well.   Adrienne: "I see... Guess that'll just have to be a mystery... Well I best be off--"   As Adrienne goes to move, Gol'Kon had reached across the table and turned her toward him. His face serious and stoic. He holds out a hand to Adrienne.   Adrienne: "What? Oh, oh of course I'm gonna pay ya. Didn't forget. Look I got it back on the ship."   Gol'Kon gives her a stern look.   Adrienne: "Oh alright fine you got me..."   Adrienne hands Gol'Kon a peculiar looking ore.   Adrienne: "Now I gotta run! Thank you Kon!"   ===   Khepri's father can be found here.   An orc with a funny looking hat is in the bar. He speaks of a healer who lives on the edge of town.   A man with an eye patch, big bushy beard, and shiny gold tooth has also visited the healer.   A gnoll, with a star over one eye speaks of a healer.   ===   After leaving cratford the airship will be caught in a rain storm. Adrienne has it handled, but it'll cause for some turbulence.   However 3 Wyverns will attack the ship and the party needs to fight them off.   ===   note melbu takes mirror, rose says meet me to the whole party   SOULSTRING IDEA They notice an abstract light. The room gets colder, frosting.   As everything fades to complete darkness.   She can be in a dragoon state and takes out whoever is left.   Rose - Exposition BAIT AND SWITCH "Legend speaks of a woman. Untouched by time, she'll rest for 10,000 years. A warrior, in the time of the Winglies. Destined to save us all when he rises again. The dark one, a creature seeking to surpass death. She will awaken again, to put the dark one to rest."   "Either we lost it, but here's what we know. We have it, here you go." Nice Rhyme   Give them another mystery if they lose. If the won, they gotta continue what they're doing.   If the party wins, have somebody who looks over a certain body, find an insignia of the Wizards college.   Rose comes in, everyone loses village, initiate wringer.   Kaladin feels evil from her, with his magic of detect good and evil.   You can't make it visible to people off rip is because, the thing with darts village, he saw what he considered to be a dark monster. But if he was to see it now, he would be able to see it for what it was. We have to obscure the vision.   You can't see it, but you know the feeling from a long time ago. For Darts specifically. Nostalgia.   Put Khepri's dad at one of the stops. End her story, let her start her warrior character.
