Altered Creatures

Not only do the rifts have affects on parts of the surrounding world, but it can also have an effect on the wildlife of the area. These affects can boost the already existing functions of the specifically altered life (essentially making the changed life better at doing what it once did before, with a spider becoming a better hunter for example). Wildlife can be affected through long amounts of exposure within the afflicted area of the rift, with these creatures slowly being transformed throughout this process (if said creature leaves the afflicted area before becoming fully altered, it would still possess these altered abilities and appearances, however most of these half changed lives die after a few days). Wildlife can also be affected by consuming altered flora and/or fauna, however this does not always lead to a life being transformed.
