Concrete Crew

Origin 

The crew formed when the DCA economy started to decline; it saw potential value in the natural resources of Chimeria so began recruiting 100 individuals for its taskforce. Of the hundred, ten were given command and known as crew commanders or now known as concrete commanders each had control of a small team. Shortly after reaching the island, they began to carry out explorative digs, research and excavations around the mountains. Furthermore, they aided in the building and colonising effort to create the mining towns which would accommodate effective and productive mining.

Present-day

The crew still answer to the DCA, keeping strong relations and has more recruits to aid in their colonising efforts. Its forces are split between 7 mining towns with each having 50 members keeping them in order. They now conduct their own training initiative and don’t need the DCA’s approval to recruit individuals from the island. In addition, the crew have strong ties with the restoration factions and help them with their efforts. Still, since being in Chimeria, they have bonded with many locals and settlements and try to keep neutral in specific affairs unless directly commanded by the DCA in which case they act accordingly. Many of the concrete crew use Chimerian alchemy to enforce as well as to help excavate. Commanders tend to use these to control the rare obsidian diving eagle as they’re great for destroying large rock formations as well as a dispersal tool if needed. However, the blood of these creatures is even rarer, and many commanders spend most of their time searching for it.
The crew work with the Chimerian people to keep the peace in the mining towns and chimeria on the whole. They don’t entirely hate one another, but they don’t exactly like one another either except a few circumstances where they have some Chimerian support around the island. Still, regardless of a few small skirmishes towards the start of their partnership, no major uprisings have forced the crew out of Chimeria. This is mostly due to the benefits the Chimerian workers receive while working within the mining towns as well as being able to join the crew themselves.
