Sharktooth Islands

A cluster of islands Northwest of the Aglver Mountains. In the center of them is the largest shaped like a shark tooth and home to a fort occupied by pirates. The islands have been newly established by a pirate leader who took in lycanthrope refuges and slaves. The fort is newly built at the foot of a small mountain from the timber in the surrounding area. The town within the walls is small but slowly growing due to the persistence and teamwork of the citizens seeing this as a chance at a more promising future.
The population is a melting pot of various cultures. While not everyone that lives on the islands is a lycanthrope, the majority are. The islands are home to a unique assortment of lycanthropes that are rarely seen even in their respective reigons. In fact, leader of the Sharktooth Islands is himself an wereshark, a type of lycanthrope that is rare enough to be spoken about in tall tales from seafarers.
Living on the islands is hard but manageable. The region relies on the supplies stolen from the pirates and fishing. Crops can grow on the islands but in a small amount. Lycanthropes native to colder areas are usually put in leadership roles for their knowledge and experience on how to survive.
