As an bonus action you may transform this cape into a shield which you wield in an open hand if you are wearing the cape already. In addition, you may don or doff this piece of equipment as part of the transformation.
While this is in the hardened state, it is a shield that provides **only** 1 additional AC instead of the normal 2 additional AC.
You are considered to be proficient with this equipment if you are proficient in wearing light armor.

With the proper flick of the wrist, the piece of hide holds whatever form it was last left as. While in this hardened state, it's sturdy enough to parry light strikes from the enemy and impede foe's ability to judge your movement.
