session 9 - Jeweled Masquerade
General Summary
-The black box was used on Emrys Tanda which contained a small spider that buried themselves into them and gave them 2 spider legs, a left lung, and a small heart to keep the parts alive.
-The party continued down a long since traveled corridor which ended in a jewelry forge inhabited by a deaf and blind ogre making various chains.
-Suoroc approached the ogre and was magically communicated with by entering the ogre's mind. They learned that the ogre had been Jorvus Anlay's prisoner and was used to make magical enchantments and jewelry for him. Suoroc stated they would try to free him once Jorvus was slain.
-The room contained chains and jewelry fittings made from, gold, silver, Starmetal and Oblivium @ Jonathan DeWitt took a chain of starmetal and oblivium.
-Amar gave the ogre a small chain and the ogre nodded and began trying to make it.
-The party continued past the jewelers room in a corridor that ended in an alchemical experiment room.
-The room contained 3 cages which showed increasing signs of massacre and violence. Tables with chain restraints were also present in the room. A large 12ft tall, 6ft diameter, vat of the Green Liquid was present with a few tubes coming out the bottom.
-The alchemical setup was more advanced then at the Goddess Temple, which gave the impression Jorvus Anlay had refined and improved his previous techniques. -Amar found a journal detailing what Jorvus Anlay's experiments had yielded. It also contained various names crossed out and circled. It mentioned 3 organizations: Guild of Adelay, Jade Quorum , and The Slivered Hand. The journal explained that these organizations had been providing trafficked people to Jorvus for his experiments.
-The Green Liquid had been used in three different concoctions. 1) Large doses lead to undead creation, 2)small diluted doses lead to addiction, psychosis, and eventually death, 3) ratio of green liquid to a certain herb found in northern Goreck forest leads to amnesia.
-Emrys Tanda filled the vat up with water to dilute the concentrated Green Liquid in the vat.
-The party took one of the 2 pathways in the alchemical room and followed the bloody one, which lead to the surface in the fields outside south east of Goreck.
-The part went back to town and dropped of Amar's body at The Sleepy Steer. While Kelbi Kross, Jonathan DeWitt, and Suoroc took a short rest, Emrys Tanda and Amar went to Sunny Pig General to find clothing appropriate for the Bolboc party they had been invited to.
-Amar and Emrys Tanda got dresses custom fitted and accessorized by Wisebear at Sunny Pig General
-After their short rest, the remaining three party members met up with the two at Sunny Pig General and also got custom fitted clothing and accessories for the party.
-During this, Jonathan DeWitt snuck away and spoke with Ulric Mistsplitter at The Grey Ranger and received a gift and promotion.
-The party, now dressed up, went to the Bolboc party.
-At the party, Suoroc was immediately surrounded by Mithlis Bolboc and her friends. The rest of the party split up to different parts of the party.
-Jonathan DeWitt pickpocketed some patrons for some gold.
-Emrys Tanda went to Minnie's Monster Managerie, operated by Minnie Hummingbird and purchased, @mint, A forest snake.
-Amar did some scouting and saw a tent that only a few were being allowed to enter by giving something to the guards at the entrance.
-Kelbi Kross met up with Genvee Cromveil and proceeded to dance with him.
-Suoroc was led by Mithlis Bolboc into the VIP tent that Amar and found earlier. Inside was filled with lavish furniture and art pieces with various people fornicating on the perimeter of it. -Suoroc accepted 2 drinks from Mithlis Bolboc and became inebriated. He talked to Darren Bolboc briefly before retreating expeditiously out the front of the tent.
-Jonathan DeWitt went to Otello's Oddities, operated by Otello Swampsquatter and purchased some trinkets.
-Kelbi Kross went to Minnie's Monster Menagerie and learned from Minnie Hummingbird that you could buy an order ticket for 50 gold in order to see the more exotic animals and purchase them. She was most interested in the leopard.
-Kelbi Kross met back up with Genvee Cromveil and danced some more before he had to return to work.
-Suoroc ran out of the party and ended up near the Bolboc estate house and took a brief rest.
-Jonathan DeWitt and Amar met up and concocted a plan to enter the estate house. They started towards there and hid behind a tree.
-Kelbi Kross was curious about finding Suoroc and went towards the house and was pulled aside behind the tree by Jonathan DeWitt.
-Suoroc was sitting on the porch of the estate as Mithlis Bolboc came up and started to cry and lament about their current situation. She had wanted to marry Jared Bolboc but settled for Edmond Bolboc. She didn't like how Darren Bolboc had treated her recently and that Shari Bolboc had yelled at her frequently the past weeks. Suoroc and Mithliss then got down to business.
-Jonathan DeWitt , Amar and Kelbi Kross broke into the cellar of the estate and found a ledger that contained many different transactions. One of the transactions was off by giving someone in Falcondale a dramatic discount for the amount of cattle they received.
-Jonathan DeWitt went upstairs and found a safe they couldn't open and a desk with four drawers. They managed to open 3 of them and got 20 platinum and a black book with a list of names.
-Kelbi Kross and Amar went down the stairs in the cellar and heard a groaning noise. Kelbi Kross then went upstairs to find Jonathan DeWitt .
-After Suoroc and Mithlis Bolboc had finished, she told him that she was available anytime and left towards the party. A short time later she returned with 2 security guards crying stating that Suoroc had stolen from here and felt her up. The security found a locket and necklace in his pockets and took him into custody.
-Amar continued down the hallway where the groaning was emanating and found 3 containing cells. One empty, one with a chained man, and one with an unmoving body.
-Amar learned from the chained man that Shari Bolboc and Jorvus Anlay were in an affair and Shari was trying to kill her husband Darren Bolboc. The man had witnessed Jorvus and Shari having sex in the horse barn some weeks ago and was captured and had been imprisoned since. Throughout his imprisonment Shari had come down to beat him and take out any anger on him.
-Kelbi Kross found Jonathan DeWitt and they went down to where Amar was.
-Suoroc was being taken further north into the fields and not towards town. The pixie revealed themselves to suoroc and helped him to subdue the 2 security guards. Suoroc then made a deal that they would tell everyone he met that the pixie was amazing and his best friend in exchange for going to find the group and telling them what had happened to him. The pixie agreed.
-The pixie found the group and told them what had happened to Suoroc and the party met up with him in the fields.
-The party continued on the path the security guards were taking Suoroc and found a trap door in the ground towards the northern part of the field. The door led to a hole that smelled of rotting decaying flesh and filled with humanoid body parts.
