Session 21 - Dinner Riot
General Summary
-The group decided to head to the Temple of Valgus. Along the way they heard and saw a group of people yelling at a fancy house and saying they weren't doing anything to help the sick.
-There they were met by Lei and gave the party a healer's kit and told them that the dwarves have been affected by some illness that causes a cough, fever and bleeding black blood from the eyes. Also, that only one other person had gotten sick in this time and it was the assistant of the herbalist. Who was an elderly male human.
-The group decided to split with Kelbi Kross & Jonathan DeWitt heading to the herbalist and the rest heading to the makeshift quarantine district of the dwarves.
-Kelbi Kross and Jonathan DeWitt arrived at Loamy Pastures - Herbalist and spoke with Finerdhil Cromelon about his assistant who got sick and died.
-Finerdhil Cromelon let them know that the man was elderly and losing his eyesight and more than likely mixed the wrong herbs. He also let them know that they have a root cellar to keep herbs and roots that need underground conditions to grow.
-Jonathan DeWitt purchased a healing potion from the herbalist and then Kelbi Kross and him left to join the group.
-Emrys Tanda , Amar and Suoroc went to the quarantine and Suoroc went into a tent.
-In the tent there was a follower of Valgus helping a very bad looking dwarf who was coughing and looked feverish. Suoroc attempted to help, but couldn't glean any information.
-Emrys Tanda entered the tent and looked over the dwarf and discovered some interesting symptoms of the dwarf. One being it seemed that their diaphragm was being paralyzed. The other that muscles in their legs seemed to be not responding to reflex tests and that they too were being slowly paralyzed.
-Suoroc left the tent with the intent of going to the forest outside of the town to find herbs. Amar and Emrys Tanda continued looking around the area and found an empty tent with a large blood pile that was black. Amar left the area and went to the residential district to find the house that the first person to get sick lived in
-Kelbi Kross and Jonathan DeWitt headed towards the city center to talk with Christiana Farlight - Guard Captain about the recent goblin raids
-Along the way Kelbi Kross made a snarky comment towards the crowd that was yelling at the fancy building. three of them started yelling at her and trying unload some anger.
-Kelbi Kross kept making sarcastic or quippy comments and a fight broke out. During the fight with the three the whole crowd jumped in. After a short period of fighting Christiana Farlight - Guard Captain came out of the barracks and broke up the fight asking Jonathan DeWitt and Kelbi Kross to join her in the barracks.
-Speaking with Jonathan DeWitt and Kelbi Kross, Christiana Farlight - Guard Captain told them to not cause anymore trouble and to keep their noses clean. Afterwards they left to find the other members of the party.
-Amar asked a guard where the house of the first sick dwarf was and was lead there and allowed to investigate inside, but didn't find anything of worth and headed back join the party.
-Suoroc entered the forest to find herbs, but didn't find anything exciting. They attempted to enter the forest deeper, but was attacked by a group of goblins as he ran away and back into town.
-Emrys Tanda talked around and learned a little more about what was afflicting the dwarves, but nothing pertinent to cures or treatments. She then left to go to the Temple of Valgus and met up with Suoroc as he was entering the town.
-Emrys Tanda and Suoroc went to the temple and spoke with Lei with what they had found with Lei saying they have tried all the herbs available to them and nothing was working. They left the temple to meet back up with the party.
-The party crossed paths and met near the center of town and decided the mine was the next point of investigation as all the dwarfs had been miners. They went to Noqhir Tylondris' Tower and told him that they would be needed entrance into the mines the following morning.
-The group headed back towards The Brass Violin - Inn to have a fancy dinner.
-At the entrance to the Inn they met a fancily dressed man Phomas Hornblower - Brothel Owner
-The group entered the Inn and was lead to an empty table and proceeded to order their 3 course fancy meal.
-Phomas Hornblower - Brothel Owner came to their table and started asking questions concerning the groups purpose, origins, and anything else he could learn
-Kelbi Kross was very talkative and revealed some information about the party. Phomas Hornblower - Brothel Owner gave Kelbi a pass to the VIP lounge at the Tower of Adelay and paid for the tables meal before leaving. -The group finished their meal and headed to bed.
