Wars were once fought with dragons and magic, razing entire cities and seeding ruin in the land. Those days are over--so long as everyone toes the line and abides by the Treaties.

Still, there are always disagreements. Deals to be made, posturing to be done, concessions to win. Open hostilities are too dangerous, but battle must still be brought.

Enter the Tournament.

Wing Cross was invented to teach and practice battlefield strategy; now, the game has replaced the reality. Cross Tournaments are major sporting events, the champions are lauded celebrities, and the decennial Ascension Tournament steers the course of nations.
