General Summary

The Musical Menagerie left Yussa Errenis and Wensforth to get cleaned up and head to The Avian for some fun. Now that it's open, you discovered a ton of activity and gaming in the casino.

Ellas Aldarina, the half-elven owner, showed you their various offerings and games. Some of you actually sat down and played a game of Kord's Gambit, coming away with a pretty penny from a few other folks. While Ren, Comet, Iris, and Nixx continued to play games, Petrus and Arcann asked around and eventually got instructions to "The Shadows" which was apparently a room upstairs. Oddly, this game room was as beautifully decorated as all the rest of the rooms in the establishment, yet it was devoid of patrons. Through some investigating, the party found that a glass display case was not all that it seemed. Inside were their armaments and a secret passage to a firepole. Yall looked like a bunch of freshmen on the first day of high school, not knowing what you were supposed to do. It was hilarious for me to watch you struggle, and had we not been short on time I would have let that go on for as long as it needed to haha.

So, to clarify, all you have to do is walk into the room and say the phrase. Then, the invisible attendent will open the passage. That's how it works at The Avian specifically.

Anywayyyy, sliding down... down... down... yall execute an EXCELLENT superhero landing. SO cool. Not deterred by the potential creepiness of the situation, Comet lit up some dancing lights for those that can't see in the dark. The tunnel curved gradually to a supposed center as you progressed down it, occasionally having smaller tunnels merge with it, and itself merging with larger corridors. After about 20 minutes of walking, the tunnel straightened out and you saw an arched exit into an empty cavernous room.

The archway emitted a soft droning buzz as an audible indicator of heavy arcane magic. Walking through didn't work, being repelled away every attempt. Arcann, our ever-intelligent wizard, cleverly cast Identify on the coin Petrus had and discovered that the way to use it is by pressing it flat against the barrier. So, in this cold dark silent hallway, he did so. In doing so, Arcann heard a whisper in his head ask, "How many?" and in a flash of light, the number of people equal to the number he claimed was sucked forward through the door. The silent cave suddenly replaced by the raucous sounds of fighting, cheering, music, and general revelry, The Musical Menagerie found themselves queasy and suddenly in a whole new world.

RETCON: I'm sorry but I have important adjustment to the story to make, so sorry. Arcann is unable to give the coin back to Petrus after using it, because it disappeared during the flash of light. So sorry about that slip-up, I was a bit off my game last week haha.

In this tall arena/room, the current fight that has boiled down to a half-orc and three others comes to a swift close as the half-orc rampages and takes out the opponents in a single turn. As the fallen hit the ground, hard, they disappear entirely!

The commentator congratulates Kern, the half-orc, as he roars to hype up the crowd. Not ones to miss an opportunity like this, you all decide to take on the most recent winner! As you run into the ring, ignoring proper procedure, you toss your coins to the bookie as last minute bets on yourselves. The commentator calls for more fighters to even the odds in Kern's favor, since his team has clearly disappeared already during the last fight. Combat begins and the most exciting part is when Ren reveals what he was working on with Yussa as he grows to giant-size and strength. Returning to initiative, it's the human captain's turn.
